If Haruka Weiser were an ugly black woman, would her death make the front page?

The answer, of course, is no. But isn´t it interesting how the media and all news sources are so interested in the deaths of beautiful young white women? But a poor black woman who is not pretty? Not so much.

It´s kind of like the Natalee Holloway phenomenon.
