Has MMA passed up boxing in terms of popularity in the United States?

With Floyd retired, PBC bleeding money and HBO cutting their budget it seem like MMA (UFC) is the bigger sport right now. Especially after selling 1.5 million PPV's. I would have to say boxing is bigger globally though.
